Call: Open call for course proposals
If you are coordinating a PhD course or carrying an idea for a PhD course or workshop within biotechnology/life sciences, you can apply for financial support from the research school. We have a strong focus on being inclusive and interdisciplinary, and course proposals allowing for attendees from several disciplines will be particularly welcome.

Call: The Impact Call 2023 - Breaking out of the ivory tower
This call is directed at PhD students and postdocs/researchers affiliated with Center for Digital Life Norway through a member project or the DLN Research School. This call supports initiatives that increase transdisciplinary engagement. This means interaction, working together, and collaborative work between academic and non-academic partners. Collaborations only between project partners or only with members of the industry will not be sufficient. You are encouraged to be creative. For ideas, check out this action catalogue. You can apply for costs related to the proposed activity (i.e. rental, travel, and other costs associated with organizing the proposed activity).

Call: Digital Life industry internships
PhD students from the centre and the research school are given the chance to try out a professional path outside academia through a three-months internship at a biotech company in or outside Norway. For the internship period you will have the opportunity to choose a project that you see relevant for your further career development, and take part in the daily activities and work routines of the host company.

Call: New members DLN Junior Resource Group
The Digital Life Norway (DLN) Junior Resource Group (JRG) is recruiting new members to be a voice of young researchers in the life sciences in Norway. A major focus of DLN is to train and support a new generation of transdisciplinary life scientists. The JRG provides advice and feedback that help shape the DLN’s activities to reach PhD students and postdocs.

Call: Grant for Norwegian iGEM teams
To reach out to young researchers at an early stage and introduce them to transdisciplinary biotechnology research and innovation, the Centre for Digital Life Norway is happy to announce the first ever grants to support students who want to attend the international student competition in synthetic biology – International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM), funded by the centre.

Call: Join matchmaking process mobility grant
Last year, a successful matchmaking process facilitated by DLN and Swedish SciLifeLab resulted in a three-year researcher project with international mobility from RCN for a candidate from our research school involving researchers from both DLN and SciLifeLab.
