DLN promotes recruitment, education and training of talented young researchers in line with the Digital Life mission to gain better transdisciplinary cooperation and more innovation. The DLN Research School has an important role in creating an environment for excellent PhD training and support further career development at the post doc level. DLN will also arrange workshops aimed at researchers beyond PhD/post doc level. These will focus mainly on data and knowledge management to support open science and the development of methods for research and innovation in digital biotechnology.

Research and innovation projects funded by directed calls in the Norwegian Research Council’s program Biotechnology for Innovation (BIOTEK2021) become a part of the centre. In addition, other relevant projects are welcome to apply to join the centre.
