Elucidation of biological nanoparticle formation mechanisms.

The aim of the project is to develop synthetic biology systems to produce nanoparticles with different catalytic properties. The researchers will investigate and manipulate the molecular pathways that bacteria use to produce nanoparticles.

Innovation: The project combines experimental methods with synthetic biology concepts to produce biological nanoparticles for the oil industry.

The project receives funding from the Mathematical and natural sciences faculty at UiO.
